Practice with the archive

Replay any past daily round, keep your streak untouched, and turn yesterday’s prompts into spaced practice.

What the archive replays

Every Krillion Unlimited daily round is kept by UTC date, and the archive lets you replay any of them — the exact same five prompts in the same order that players got that day, not a reshuffle. That makes the archive different from unlimited mode in a way that matters: an archive round is a fixed historical set you can compare against, the same list everyone else faced on that date. Dates that have not happened yet are not there, because the archive only holds rounds already played. Each entry is labeled by round number and date, so “Round 12” is the same set for you as it was for everyone on that UTC day.

Streaks stay untouched

The archive is a practice surface, and it is built so it cannot corrupt the real thing. Replaying a past date never writes the daily record and never touches the streak — a finished archive round leaves your today exactly as it found it. That is what makes it safe for repetition. You can miss a day, come back a week later, replay the round you missed for the practice rather than the record, and your streak continues from your last actual daily. The daily round is once per UTC date and locked after you finish; the archive is the same prompts with the consequences removed.

Use it as spaced practice

The archive is most useful as a spaced-practice tool. Replaying a round days later tests recall rather than short-term memory — do you still reach past the obvious answer, or did the lesson fade? Two habits make it work. First, replay dates you actually missed rather than bingeing consecutive days; the gap is what makes it practice. Second, read the boundary note after every unanswered prompt — the game shows the coaching line for the prompt you failed, and those notes are the closest thing to a lesson the game has. The categories repeat in spirit even when prompts do not, so a boundary you learned in an old round is a point saved in a future daily.
